You can now view your entire contact list on Android Auto
When Android Auto released, Google made sure it included just enough features to allow drivers to use the infotainment system while keeping their eyes on the road. Now, however, the company is adding more features that could easily distract you.
Last month Android Auto was updated with a ‘Swipe up to unlock’ feature that allowed users to access their phone even while it was running the infotainment system. Google said it added this so passengers can still use the connected handset.
Announced in the Android Auto User Community, Google’s in-vehicle system has been updated to allow users to access their entire contact list. Previously, you could either rely on Google Assistant to find someone in your contact list, view your favorite contacts as well as recent calls, or just dial a number.
To access your contact list, first go to the Phone tab in Android Auto. Next, tap on the hamburger menu icon and select Contacts. When you are not on the move, the contact list will be unlimited. If you’re driving, however, you’ll only be able to tap the list more than once.
