West Ham United contact Nikola Vlasic’s agent to seal loan exit

West Ham United have opened talks with Nikola Vlasic’s agents to seal a summer exit, according to Claret and Hughes Thursday afternoon [09 June].

The online source reported on their website that David Moyes hasn’t been impressed with the Croatian since paying £27m and an exit is now likely.

A loan move has been suggested with a potential purchase option included, with the Hammers believing they will have more success sending him to Europe.

Vlasic is said to want to stay in the Premier League and prove himself, but that may be hard to justify given his struggles at the London Stadium and years ago with Everton.

As expected, West Ham will struggle to recoup nearly the £27m paid to CSKA Moscow to bring them back to London in 2021.

The chances of a permanent exit have been described as ‘extremely difficult’ given that Vlasic also has a long-term contract with the club until 2026.

Shock.

This is one of those transfers that everyone clearly needs to move on from.

Vlasic, Moyes and the board will all know it didn’t work out, even though it only lasted one season – something that doesn’t seem to have worked in his favor.

Daniel Kretinsky alongside GSB seems to have made some cash available this summer, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to move players around either and bring in more cash.

Scoring one goal in 19 Premier League appearances isn’t enough, and the Croatia international will need to be much better if we can’t find him a home in the next two months.

Moyes doesn’t have much depth to play as is, and letting this outing pass before bringing someone in could be a real risk, and we’re already thinking Sebastien Haller again.

It’s definitely one to watch.
