Newcastle are also reportedly keen to bring the giant 20-year-old center-back to St James’ Park.

That’s all according to the French media Foot Mercato who claim both Premier League sides are ready to fight for the young and talented Monaco starlet.

Badiashile is a sensational young defender.

Standing at 6ft 4in, he dominates in the air but is also a good footballer. The 20-year-old is a huge talent and the next step in his career will certainly be the move from Ligue 1 to the Premier League. And it seems that the Monegasque ace could very soon swap France for England …

West Ham contemplates January’s daring coup for Benoît Badiashile

Mercato on foot I think the Hammers are very interested in signing the imposing young center-back.

In fact, it is claimed that West Ham has contacted the player’s entourage as well as Monaco to find out how much they will have to pay in total to bring Badiashile to East London.

We think the Monaco ace would be an absolutely sensational signing for the Hammers.

He has been described as a brilliant young talent by Total football analysis.

In 11 Ligue 1 matches for Monaco this season, the young Frenchman has averaged 1.7 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 2.4 clearances and 1.5 successful aerial duels per game (Who scored).

The 20-year-old makes perfect sense when it comes to technique, composure and skill with the ball at his feet. He’s averaged 61.9 assists per game this season and has recorded an 88.3% success rate (Who scored).

He is renowned for doing line breaks, progressive passing down the center of the opposing midfield and he’s absolutely brilliant at beating the press.

The young Frenchman has an impressive pace for a great man too.

Badiashile could be available for around 40million euros (£ 33million) according to a report by The team.

West Ham boss David Moyes is in desperate need of strengthening his central-defender ranks at London Stadium ahead of the January transfer window being abruptly closed.

Badiashile is said to be the kind of signing that would make the rest of the Premier League stand up and notice. It would be a real movement of declaration.

The Monaco ace is one of the most exciting young talents on the planet. He is a brilliant young defender who has everything to succeed at the highest level and above all… he is left-handed.
