UNDER THE LENS: If you prefer contact lenses, store-bought ones are often sold online under different names. For example, Boots Premium Dailies are the same as Biomedics 1 Day Extra. See lenstore.co.uk and visiondirect.co.uk for alternative names.
SEE THE SAVINGS: Do a search on a price comparison site like PriceSpy or Google Shopping to see if lenses are cheaper online. Feel Good Contacts says customers can save £108.88 a year by buying Acuvue Oasys lenses there. Choose well-known and established vendors for security.
REMEMBER: High Street opticians often offer direct debit plans which include eye tests and contact lens follow-up checks. These plans may prove to be more advantageous.
