The pre-filled message will automatically appear in the text field of a chat. Use https://wa.me/whatsappphonenumber?text=urlencodedtext where the Whatsapp phone number is a full international formatted phone number and the URL encoded text is the URL encoded pre-filled message.

To create a link with just a pre-populated message, use https://wa.me/?text=urlencodedtext

After clicking on the link, a list of contacts to whom you can send your message will be displayed.
