Police: Missing West St. Paul miner is in contact with family member, believed to be no longer at Dodge Nature Center
UPDATE: Police now say the missing minor is in contact with a family member and no longer believes he is inside or near the Dodge Nature Center.
Original story: Authorities are looking for a missing missing boy in West St. Paul on Friday afternoon.
According to the Mendota Heights Police Department, law enforcement is looking for a missing 15-year-old with medical issues.
The missing miner is described as a Hispanic, dark-haired, shirtless male. He has a blue backpack and light-colored long pants.
Law enforcement is asking anyone who sees someone matching their description in the Dodge Nature Center area to call 911.
Mendota Heights police say they have ATVs, foot search teams and a drone searching. A CERT Members team also provides assistance in the field. Police are asking people to stay away from the scene. “We have a lot of resources, so please don’t deploy yourself to the area to help,” a Facebook posts notes.
West St. Paul police said their officers are helping Mendota Heights police search the Dodge Nature Center.
