Nanaimo woman who was not in contact with her family is now considered missing

RCMP issue press release asking for public assistance in locating 34-year-old man




A woman who has not had contact with her family members for nearly two years has now been reported missing.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Sarah Rekrut, 34, who was reported missing by her family on March 2.

Investigators have established that the last confirmed sighting of Rekrut was on January 16 in Nanaimo. Before that, she had been seen several times the previous spring in downtown Nanaimo. Currently, it is unknown where she resides.

Rekrut is 5ft 5in and 125lbs, has brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote case number 2022-7175.
