Maximus Wins $6.6 Billion CMS Contract for Contact Center Operations
Maximus was awarded a contract to continue to support contact center operations for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The contract includes a transition base period plus nine one-year option periods worth a total of $6.6 billion.
CMS’s contact center operations help 75 million Americans find information about their health insurance benefits and navigate insurance programs available in the federal marketplace established by the Affordable Care Act.
“We are honored to have been selected by CMS to continue delivering a high-quality customer experience to millions of Americans who rely on contact center operations to make important decisions about their healthcare,” said Bruce Caswell, President and CEO of Maximus.
Under the contract, Maximus will support CMS’s mission to help Americans find information and understand their health care access and coverage.
“This award reflects the commitment of thousands of Maximus employees who provide exceptional service to their fellow citizens every day,” said Caswell.
Teresa Weipert, Maximus’ General Manager of Federal Services, added, “Maximus is honored to continue to provide support to CMS on this critical program that touches millions of Americans every day.”
