Longueuil police are looking for children who had contact with a sexual assault suspect

Styve Chouinard is charged with sexual assault and breaching a court order not to be in the presence of anyone under the age of 16.

Longueuil police are asking for the public’s help in locating anyone whose child has been in contact with Styve Chouinard, arrested on July 13 for sexual assault.

Chouinard is a 30 year old man who recently lived in St-Césaire and Longueuil. Police say he befriended a 13-year-old boy, convincing their mother he was 16. He is accused of sexually assaulting the teenager between June 25 and July 8.

He appeared at the Longueuil courthouse on July 14 and was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and violating a court order prohibiting the presence of anyone under the age of 16 years old.

Longueuil police believe there may be other alleged victims linked to Chouinard. Anyone with information can call 450-463-7211. All calls will remain confidential.
