Jordan Larsson’s representatives contact Celtic amid search for new club and European interest

CELTIC are said to be among the clubs contacted by Jordan Larsson’s representatives as he searches for a new club.

The Swedish international – and son of Parkhead icon Henrik – is a free agent who left Spartak Moscow after his contract was terminated.

Larsson, 25, spent the second half of last season on loan at AIK in Sweden but is now on the hunt for a new permanent club.

Celtic have long been linked to Larsson through his father’s connection to the club – but a move seemed unlikely.

However, sky sports journalist Antoine-Joseph claims Celtic and Nottingham Forest are two of many European clubs to have been alerted to his availability.

Sharing the update on social media, the report suggests there is also significant interest from the Premier League, Bundesliuga and Serie A.

Mr Joseph reports: “Representatives for striker Jordan Larsson have been in contact with a number of clubs across Europe, including Celtic and Nottingham Forest.

“He is a free agent after the termination of his contract at Spartak Moscow.

“Understood to be very interesting from EPL, Bundesliga and Serie A clubs.”
