Destiny 2 Point-Contact Cannon Brace Guide: How To Get Season Of Plunder Exotic Armor
As with every class, the Titans received a new exotic piece of armor in Destiny 2’s Season of Plunder. launched, making it something you’ll want to get your hands on sooner rather than later. But it’s not an Exotic you’ll come across at random, nor will you receive it through a specific quest. Here’s how to unlock the Exotic and what it does. But beware, since August 25, the Exotic has been temporarily deactivated. Although you can still acquire it, it cannot be equipped at this time.
Benefits of the Point of Contact Gun Splint
Hammer of the Gods is Point-Contact Cannon Brace’s main perk, but it will specifically require you to use the very impressive new melee Arc, Thunderclap (the one that charges the attack with your melee button/key). When you defeat an enemy with Thunderclap, you restore melee energy, allowing it to be used more often. Additionally, all enemies close to you when you use Thunderclap will be hit by lightning, the range of which will be increased if you are amplified at the time.
There are several ways to become amplified, including quickly defeating enemies with arc damage. Due to its nature, this Exotic pairs well with the Knockout aspect, which is all about melee attacks. It increases your range and melee damage and infuses melee attacks with arc damage when you critically damage a target or break their shields. Not only that, but defeating targets with melee attacks triggers your health regeneration and makes you amplified, which is exactly what you want to take full advantage of Hammer of the Gods’ lightning strikes.
In addition to enhancing what is already a hugely entertaining melee attack, the gauntlets have a cool, electrified look. Currently, no ornaments with alternative looks are available.

Where to Get a Point of Contact Cannon Reinforcement
The Point of Contact Cannon Splint can be found exclusively in the Lost Sectors of Legend. This means that until you unlock it by completing the appropriate activity, you will never receive it from the random exotic pool.
Legend Lost Sectors are more difficult versions of Lost Sectors. Only one is available per day, and it can be identified by looking for a specific icon on each location’s map in the Director (as pictured below). You’ll want to pay attention to the Rewards section when you hover over this icon, as it will tell you which armor slot is up for grabs – you may have to wait several days for the gauntlets to appear in rotation.
Completing a Legend Lost Sector does not guarantee you will receive the Exotic you are looking for. By default, an Exotic drop is Rare, though you can opt for Master difficulty for an even tougher challenge but higher chance of an Exotic reward. And if you haven’t unlocked a Lost Sector-exclusive Exotic in the same slot yet, you might find yourself earning it before the item you’re hoping to nab. Luckily, you’ll be dropped off at the entrance after completing the activity, allowing you to replay it over and over until you get what you want (or damn the RNG gods and call it a day).
How to Beat a Legendary Lost Sector
You can add a waypoint for a Legend Lost Sector from your map to guide you to it. At the entrance, you will find a flag that will allow you to embark there. It is important to pay attention to the various modifiers, as Legend Lost Sectors require preparation.
You will have a limited number of respawns available and a 15 minute cooldown (after which you will not be able to respawn again if you die). An additional respawn is gained for each champion you defeat.
Critically, these champions pose a major threat to you. You need to make sure you arm yourself with the appropriate Exotic or Seasonal Artifact mods to be able to deal with them, as brutally forcing your way through these encounters is not viable. This makes your choice of Artifact mods important, unless you have an Exotic with an Intrinsic Anti-Champ trait.
Also be sure to consider active burns, which cause you to deal and receive more damage from certain elements, and shields. Burns can help dictate which elemental weapons to bring with you or which subclass to use, but shields are key too. The Match Game modifier greatly reduces the amount of damage you deal to shields if you don’t match their element, so you need to be equipped appropriately.
