Central PA HS student arrested for sexual contact with another student under 18
A 19-year-old high school student was arrested for an “inappropriate relationship” with a minor, who is a classmate, according to central Pennsylvania police.
Congle Zhu, 19, of Elizabethtown, was arrested and charged with engaging a high school student with “unlawful contact” and child pornography offenses, the statement said.
Elizabethtown police received a tip about the relationship between two Elizabethtown High School students in October 2021, the statement said.
During their investigation, police learned that Zhu, a female student and another female student “exchanged sexually explicit photographs, videos and conversations” when the girl was under 18, according to police.
“Once the full scope of the investigation was clear,” police and Elizabethtown-area school district officials filed the complaint “as soon as possible,” the statement said.
The arrest and search warrants for Zhu were served on February 22, and at 9:15 a.m. Congle Zhu was arrested without incident, according to police.
Zhu was released under house arrest on $20,000 bail with a number of additional conditions.
