Williamsport, Pa. — A third Williamsport-area high school teacher is reportedly under surveillance for inappropriate sexual contact with a student.

Roger Freed, a former Williamsport-area high school principal who himself faces more than 30 felony charges of school sex / sexual interference with a student, reportedly confirmed a story to police from a confidential informant regarding a relationship with another high school teacher.

The details are outlined in two police search warrant affidavits filed July 13 and July 27, obtained by NorthcentralPa.com Thursday.

Freed allegedly admitted to police during an interview that a confidential informant and Michelle Pulizzi had had sex in the past, according to the affidavit.

After her phone was seized by investigators, Pulizzi was interviewed in July and allegedly confessed to sending and receiving nude photos through the social media app Snapchat.

Pulizzi taught high school English and helped the confidential informant when he was a student. During these sessions, the informant said he spoke with Pulizzi about relationships.

“The IC claimed that Pulizzi shared that their relationship issues were similar in nature,” Private Matthew Miller wrote.

The relationship allegedly evolved into a sexual one when Pulizzi sent CI nude photos and videos on Snapchat and Facebook. In one specific video described by the IC, Pulizzi could be seen masturbating,” Miller said.

During a lunch break in 2018, Pulizzi and IC reportedly agreed to enter a separate room from his classroom. Miller said the two kissed and Pulizzi touched the student’s erect penis.

The IC and Pulizzi were then terminated, according to the affidavit. The two would then have agreed to meet later to have sex. Pulizzi reportedly invited the IC the following weekend when his children were away.

The IC told investigators he missed the meeting for a school event.

“Pulizzi texted him after he missed the scheduled time and said IC wasn’t serious enough about him and didn’t communicate sexually with him again,” Miller wrote.

After seizing the phone in July, authorities requested text messages from Pulizzi to the IC, mixed media messages from the IC to Pulizzi, photographs and videos from Snapchat and Facebook, and photographs and videos from Pulizzi’s class, according to the search warrant.

Michelle Pulizzi was not discussed at the last school board meeting on September 6. NorthcentralPa.com asked if the district would comment on rumors that she had been placed on administrative leave. Dr. Timothy Bowers, superintendent, said “no comment”.

The school board, according to Bowers, is not required to vote on administrative leave matters.

Former principal Roger Freed was charged in June and is on paid administrative leave and bail pending trial.

Williamsport High School math teacher Chris Yoder has been suspended by the district without pay since the fall of last year for dealing with contact/communication with second degree minors – sexual abuse, misdemeanor first degree, corruption of minors and third degree misdemeanor harassment charges.
