Agent confirms Leeds United contact for ‘highest standard’ 21-year-old
Leeds United have reportedly been in contact with the agent of Italian left-back Fabiano Parisi, who currently plays at Empoli.
With the transfer window now closed, Leeds will have to wait until the end of the World Cup to bring players into the club to solve some problems in Jesse Marsch’s squad.
Junior Firpo’s form and fitness means the suggestion of a new left-back signing is never really going to go away, even if Pascal Struijk is showing in peak form there out of position.
Despite the Dutchman’s best efforts at left-back, calls for a new signing are going to be hard to ignore for the rest of this season and into the new year.
Links to 21-year-old Empoli defender Fabiano Parisi emerged earlier this summer to no avail but his agent has now confirmed the club are in contact over a possible transfer.

The young left-back impressed following his club’s promotion to Serie A and he could have been in line for a move, before deciding to stay put.
Parisi’s agent Mario Giuffredi had this to say to Tuttomercatoweb:
“Yes, the last market days have been very hectic. I consider him a great team player, he can be the transfer man for January or for the summer.
“He is of the highest level. He can aspire to important goals. We had many clubs, from Atalanta to Turin to Fiorentina, Leeds and Nice, also in agreement with Empoli, we decided to wait .
Parisi has made five league appearances this season for Empoli, scoring once and having a clean sheet to his name.
A younger signing is one I wouldn’t be surprised to see us bring in knowing it’s an investment that won’t go all that way on Firpo’s feet.
Parisi is playing in a league where his defensive attributes are going to be an essential aspect of his game, but he’s clearly very good going forward.
While the club were happy to sit back and not really push for a left-back, I think signing one would be a smart move.
We can’t rely on Firpo to stay fit and keep playing Struijk out of position.
